New Normal | Subiaco

A New Normal was a project unlike most others. Situated in the iconic heritage listed Simon Chugg building, one of Subiaco’s oldest commercial tenancies (built in 1897), the client’s objective was to create a space that utilised locally sourced and environmentally sustainable materials. SBP was excited to undertake a project that aligned with these principles. This multi-level project included an open kitchen restaurant on the ground floor and a beautifully designed open rooftop bar on the upper level. SBP was proud of the outcome achieved and enjoyed the multiple specialty materials and trades not often used in commercial projects, such as; rammed earth, poured earth, hempcrete, earthen render, recycled timber.
